Sandra Presson Litsinger, (70), of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away on October 5th, 2016 in Voorhees, NJ after a long battle with illness.

A service to celebrate her life was held on Saturday, October 8th, at noon at

St Bartholomew's Episcopal Church
4711 Edmondson Avenue
Baltimore, MD 21229

For Sandie's friends and community in South Jersey, an additional service will be held on Saturday, October 29th at one pm (visitation with the family from noon-1) at:

Trinity Episcopal Church
207 West Main St.
Moorestown, NJ 08057

Sandie would really enjoy it if the ladies wear hats and people wear festive colors.

There will be visitation time with the family preceding the service from noon-1pm in the church, and a reception following the service.

Sandie was born in Baltimore, MD to Norman Robert Presson and Thelma Violet Presson on July 11th, 1946. She attended Andover High School in Linthicum, MD where she graduated in 1964. She married Robert Norman Litsinger on December 23rd, 1966 and received a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from UMBC in 1978. Sandie was a pre-school and kindergarten teacher for 11 years. She began volunteering at the library in Ashland, VA in 1992 doing Storytime which peaked her interest and she began working in Libraries. Sandie received her Masters in Library Science from Drexel University in 2006 and worked as a Children's Librarian in Carroll County.

Sandie was very active in her church community, enjoyed swimming and was a master homemaker. She was known for her cooking and baking skills, beautiful homemade clothes, knitting and crochet. There was always room to squeeze one more person at the table and plenty of delicious food to go around.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Bob, her children, Danielle Strimbu (Josh Strimbu) of Highlands Ranch, CO, Laurie Luca (Sean Brady) of Catonsville, MD and Christopher Litsinger (Elizabeth McDonald) of Cherry Hill, NJ, her dog and helpmate, Kelsi, her sister Barbara Presson, grandchildren, Tuesday, Quinn, Tyler, Jake, River, Xander, Escher and Grey, and many, many friends.

In lieu of flowers, Sandie requested that donations be made to the Hadley School for the Blind. Sandie learned braille by enrolling in their adult extension courses, which — as with all of their services — were provided for free.

If you would prefer, you could also consider donations to Seeing Eye, Inc.
